EVEN IN THE off-season, the San Beda Red Smashers are looking for ways to improve their game as participants in the product demonstration of the Zero Point Activated Water by Zero Point Energy at the Mezzanine of the Dom Felipe Cafe last May 11.

The San Beda Red Smashers have been presented with the initial trial and proposal for the newly-introduced energy drink and would be tasked with the trial implementation of the energy drink to the game and training of the team as they prepare for their upcoming off-season games, such as the Frederick D. Go (FDG) cup, last June.

However, the attendance from the team was incomplete due to various reasons, primarily with other members being in transit as they are to compete in Butuan for a national tournament.

The showcase between the Red Smashers and Zero Point Energy was facilitated by a Bedan alumnus, Mr. Raul Roque, who graduated from San Beda with a degree in AB Economics. Along with him is the main creator and representative of Zero Point Activated Water, Pastor Edwin Limbaga. It is to be noted, however, that the said product is still seeking the approval of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Both have presented and discussed the various advantages and details regarding the energizing water product through a simple activity of mitochondrial dysfunction demonstration participated by coaches and team members.

Moreover, Pastor Limbaga led in facilitating the demonstration of mitochondrial dysfunction, via a before-and-after presentation on how the drink would influence the team, as well as answering queries pertaining to such.

With the intent of expanding the drink to other sports teams at the University, the Red Smashers were chosen as the primary participants in the experimental trials of Zero Point Activated Water. As Mr. Roque emphasized in his discussion with the team, “We need feedback because we want to put it into an extreme sport like badminton.”
