STIRRING UP A competition among fashion and Roblox enthusiasts, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Student Council (SC) unveiled the Integration challenge for its third day, upholding the “Truly Filipino” aspect through a Dress To Impress (DTI) Roblox contest held at the Networking Laboratory of the Lydia Tan Sy building, last March 19.
The competition began at 1:30P.M. participated by one representative from each department of the CAS community. Following this, the registered players were invited to a private DTI Roblox server to officially showcase their fashion senses, with the overall competition consisting of five rounds and 5 custom themes.
Each round had an allotted six minutes for the players to complete their outfits with a particular theme and a common concept of masquerading famous Filipino personalities. Participants were also allowed to research for references within the allotted time frame for them to complete their outfits.
During the presentation proper, the participating departments showed off their outfit, while the judges, after all five rounds had been completed, rated based on the criteria consisting of 40% for creativity, 30% for accuracy and execution, and 30% for cleanliness and cohesiveness—tallying a total of 100%.
Ultimately, Kapisanang Agham ng San Beda (KASB)/San Beda Sports Science Association (SBSSA) secured the first place with 60 points, followed by The Repvblic (TR) with 50 points, and the third spot being a tie between the Junior Bedan Law Circle (JBLC) and Psychology Society of San Beda University (PSSBU) with both having 45 points.
These points resulted from both the scores of the judges, and each department’s respective deductions due to non-compliances of the students per department for the day’s “Manggagawang Filipino” outfit theme.
