BONJOUR, JE M’APPLE, Anne! This is a PSA to all the women who choose to be better, fiercer, and kinder every day. Happy Women’s Month! Empowering fellow women shouldn’t only be done through “cutesie” pubmats. Instead, it must be reflected in real life.
Now, what’s going to be different in this column than the usual greetings, empowerment quotations, and aesthetic pubmats that we usually see in social media? Well, this will be focusing on “Why a woman should really empower and protect a fellow woman?”.
“As a woman, why just why would you use their story as a weapon against a fellow woman?”
As a writer who likes to give her two cents on real life experiences, I was able to see and hear women who pull other women down—-how? With their own style. Their words that may be wickedly twisted just the way they like it.
Whenever I encounter stories like that, it makes me wonder why a woman would bring another woman down? Like shouldn’t it be automatic that when you know something, especially if it’s very personal, it should be kept between you and the person who entrusted their soul to you? As a woman, why just why would you use their story as a weapon against a fellow woman? To be frank, it’s just a sick thing to do, mon ami.
Through the lens of a fellow woman, I find it hypocritical that this Juana posts something that focuses on woman empowerment while I see that in real life, she disrupts a woman’s peace of mind.
Stand by what you post. That Abante, Babae! mindset should not only be something that you share on your social media pages for clout. It shouldn’t be something that you speak but it’s the opposite of your attitude and personality.
Kindly radiate your energy to something more beneficial of your time. For sure there are some other important matters to do rather than gossiping. Don’t make it seem like it’s your kind of air wherein you’ll deteriorate if you didn’t destroy a life for today.
Rally back with your fellow Juana. Do not stab their back for your own benefit and “sense of validation and crafted image”. You don’t have to compare nor contrast your achievements. Your skills and capabilities, your lifestyle, and other things in life just to prove a point that you’re doing well than others. Let it speak for itself without pulling other people down.
This month celebrates the goodness and greatness of each woman out there, may this also be the month where every woman would be reminded that we too should empower our fellow Juana wholeheartedly.
In line with Women’s month, I offer this column to each woman out there. You are something. You are someone. You are a woman. You stand with your fellow Juana.
Abante, kapwa Babae!
