ANCHORED IN BEDAN history and identity, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Student Council (SC) kicked off the fourth day of its Integration Challenge, “Bedang-Bedan!” with a Kahoot! quiz on the SC’s Discord channel last March 20.
The challenge, which was streamed live at the SC’s Events Management Committee’s Official Facebook Page, consisted of various teams per department represented by one group of representatives under one player.
Participants were scored based on the accuracy and speed of their responses in the Kahoot! quiz, which consisted of 35 questions all about Bedan history and identity—15 questions counted as double points, while 20 questions counted as single points.
Accuracy and speed were crucial, as scores were determined based on correct answers and response time. The team with the highest total points, as determined by response accuracy and speed, won the daily challenge.
In the end, Junior Bedan Law Circle (JBLC) claimed the win with 30,278 points, followed closely by Department of Business Management and Entrepreneurship (DBME) with 29,624 points, with San Beda English and Literature Society (SBELS)/San Beda Economics Society (SBES) being placed in the third spot with 26,560 points. Kapisanang Agham ng San Beda (KASB)/San Beda Sports Science Association (SBSSA) and Psychology Society of San Beda University (PSSBU) went into 4th and 5th place, respectively.
In an interview, Jayna Xzyha Tayag of JBLC shared her thoughts on the event, saying, “It’s great that the integration continued this year, and I believe all Bedans should experience it.”
“The history and values we learn from BENE01 are not just for important events but also for everyday life. The Kahoot! platform encourages healthy competition and lets us take pride in representing San Beda, whether in academics or sports,” she added.
